The indigenous people of Australia, or Aborigines, migrated from India between 40,000 and 50,000 years ago. They were mostly hunter-gathers, and were semi-nomadic. Because they were always traveling, they had a different idea about what an early childhood education degree was all about. They did not teach children about reading and math, but instead focused on skills to survive. Changing seasons made herds of animals migrate, and the Aborigines had to follow them to survive. Their religion was based on living creatures, and their creation story, as seen above, shows how important animals were to their way of life.
